Georgia Corporate Name Publishing Requirements

Per Georgia Statutes, all corporations must publish a notice of intent to incorporate in the newspaper which is the official legal organ of the county where the principal place of business is to be located, or in a newspaper of general circulation in such county and for which at least 60 percent of its subscriptions are paid, for once a week for 2 consecutive weeks, no later than the next business day after filing articles of incorporation with the Secretary of State.

Georgia also requires changes to articles (amendments) as well as corporate dissolution to be published in a legal organ.

If this legal notice is NOT published then you are NOT in compliance with the State of Georgia Statute.

Failure to meet the publishing requirement may cause the corporate veil to be broken and disregarded by the state of Georgia. If a business fails to comply, the business, its members, and those interested in doing such business may not maintain any action, suit, or proceeding in any court of the state until this statute is complied with.

By having us publish your Georgia corporate name this can be avoided.

In compliance with the statutes, Georgia Business Name Publishing publishes the announcements with newspapers in the county where your principal place of business is located in accordance with Georgia Law. Please complete the Georgia Business Name Publishing form and we will publish your business name so that you can be in compliance with the State of Georgia Statute.
